RULING WITH DILIGENCE 2
Last week, we began to see how to rule with diligence by enforcing the kingdom (right doing or conduct), peace and joy (Rom.14.17)) by the power of the Holy Spirit.
This week, we will look at this in more detail:
Ephesians 2:2-3 NKJV: in which you once walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience, (3) among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind, and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.
Matthew 12:28-29 NKJV: But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, surely the kingdom of God has come upon you. (29) Or how can one enter a strong man’s house and plunder his goods, unless he first binds the strong man? And then he will plunder his house.
Matthew 11:12 AMP: And from the days of John the Baptist until the present time, the kingdom of heaven has endured violent assault, and violent men seize it by force [as a precious prize–a share in the heavenly kingdom is sought with most ardent zeal and intense exertion].
We are therefore to rule spiritually in this manner WITH DILIGENCE: DAILY (Luke 9.23, Heb.5.7-9) and at least once every 6 hours (Dt.6.7, Mk.13.35) by praying to release the power of God into the air to enforce the Kingdom, using the blood, the Word and praying in the spirit with tongues and travail.
Practically, this is done by ‘tithing’ your time: praying about 2.5 hours as a DAILY HABIT starting in the 4th watch (3.00-6.00am) like the Lord Jesus did (Mark. 1.25) starting with praying to keep the commandment of life and love (1 Jn.3.23, Jn. 20.31) using the chart below as a guide:
START with love prayers (15mins) and ‘washing feet’ (30 mins spread over 18-24 hours) at least once every 6 hours and improve GRADUALLY to praying at least 2.5 hours daily (in addition to other weekly and monthly prayers) in this manner as a habit to rule diligently!
