BEING READY FOR HIS COMING 2
(week 32/10)
OLUBI JOHNSON

In our article last week, we saw that we need to be wise virgins who are prepared and ready to meet the bridegroom: typifying the Lord Jesus, to enter into the wedding: typifying the fulfilment of the Feast of Tabernacles and its consequent manifestation of the glory of God.

This week, we will see in more detail how to prepare and be and stay ready.

We prepare by putting ‘oil’ typifying the life of God in our ‘vessels’ typifying our physical bodies by habitual daily prayer in the spirit with travail using the life of God and we stay ready by frequent ‘washing of feet’: using the blood, the life of God and praying in tongues to walk in love by the Spirit; and frequently acknowledging the Lord for mercy with frequent praying in tongues (Jude 1:20-21).

So, to be prepared you need to put ‘oil’ in your ‘vessel’ as a daily habit by habitual daily prayer with all kinds of prayer in the Spirit using an abundance of the life of God to have the life of God in your physical body.

Romans 8:10-11 NIV: But if Christ is in you, your body is dead because of sin, yet your spirit is alive because of righteousness. (11) And if the Spirit of him who raised Jesus from the dead is living in you, he who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through his Spirit, who lives in you.

Romans 8:26 MKJV: Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.

Galatians 4:19 KJV: My little children, of whom I travail in birth again until Christ be formed in you,

2 Corinthians 4:10-11 MKJV: (10) always bearing about the dying of the Lord Jesus in the body, so that the life of Jesus also might be revealed in our body. (11) For we who live are always being delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, so that the life of Jesus might also be revealed in our body.

Furthermore, observe that being prepared and being ready is not exactly the same thing: you can be prepared but not ready at the appointed time. However, you cannot be ready, if you are not prepared.

So, with being prepared as a foundation, it takes regular washing of feet: at least 4 times daily and frequent acknowledging the Lord for mercy and praying in tongues, ideally, every conscious hour (Mt. 24:42) and during temptations (Jam. 1:2-4) to be and stay ready:

1 Thessalonians 5:17 MKJV: Pray without ceasing.

Philippians 4:6 MKJV: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

Luke 21:36 KJV: Watch ye therefore, and pray always, that ye may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that shall come to pass, and to stand before the Son of man.

So, by being both prepared and ready daily, you will escape or overcome all the temptations and tribulations that come against you and ‘enter into the wedding with bridegroom’ a type of the manifestation of the glory of God experiencing the fulfilment of the feast of Tabernacles in you personally.

Those who are not prepared and ready are left in the spiritual darkness of the outer-court and so do not experience the fulfilment of the feast of Tabernacles and so will not manifest the glory of God.

So be prepared and ready daily for the hour of His coming in us is upon us!
