We are in the season of the fulfillment of the feast of Tabernacles. However we do not know the exact day or hour of the outpouring of the Spirit without measure.
In 2 Peter 3:10, we are told to hasten the coming of the day of the Lord.
We do this by having a sufficient number of us watching and praying, staying, as it were, in ‘the upper room’ of prayer (Acts 1: 13-14).
2 Chronicles 30:1-3 (NIV) Hezekiah sent word to all Israel and Judah and also wrote letters to Ephraim and Manasseh, inviting them to come to the temple of the LORD in Jerusalem and celebrate the Passover to the LORD, the God of Israel. The king and his officials and the whole assembly in Jerusalem decided to celebrate the Passover in the second month. They had not been able to celebrate it at the regular time because not enough priests had consecrated themselves and the people had not assembled in Jerusalem.
2 Chronicles 30:3 (KJV) For they could not keep it at that time, because the priests had not sanctified themselves sufficiently, neither had the people gathered themselves together to Jerusalem.
Here we see that there was a 1 month delay in the celebration of the feast of Passover because a sufficient number of priests had not been sufficiently sanctified, neither had the people gathered themselves to Jerusalem. Jerusalem here is symbolic of the place of prayer (Acts 1: 4, 13-14).
So in this hour, for as many of us as have an ear to hear what the Spirit is saying, let us go to ‘Jerusalem’ and stay in ‘the upper room of prayer’, watching and praying till we have a sufficient number of us that are sufficiently sanctified to bring about the outpouring of the Spirit without measure upon us to show forth the manifestation of the Sons of God (Rom. 8: 19, John 14: 12).
