THE WISDOM OF THE JUST 2
(week 49/11)
Olubi Johnson

In our last article, we saw that the wisdom of the just is the wisdom it takes to have access to the power of God to do righteousness.

Furthermore, it is this wisdom that the spiritual children in the church must turn to in their hearts so as to have enough of the people of God who will be prepared for the coming of the Lord to His church in the perfection and fulness of Christ.

Some of the scriptures that encapsulate the essence of this wisdom of the just are:

Deuteronomy 30:14 KJV: But the word is very nigh unto thee, in thy mouth, and in thy heart, that thou mayest do it.

Matthew 26:41 KJV: Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Galatians 5:16 KJV:This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.

Genesis 24:27 KJV: And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of my master Abraham, who hath not left destitute my master of his mercy and his truth: I being in the way, the LORD led me to the house of my master’s brethren.

This week, we will see in more detail from these scriptures the practical outworkings of this wisdom of the just.

We must understand that it takes the power of the Holy Spirit to be obedient to God; so the Holy Spirit from our hearts through our mouths releases this power.

If we do not say God’s Word with our mouths from our hearts, we will never release the power to do it, no matter how much well intentioned we are to do it.

Why is this so?

It is so, because there is satanic power in the air and operating in our minds, bodies and circumstances that is seeking to hinder us from doing God’s Word:

Ephesians 2:2-3 KJV: Wherein in time past ye walked according to the course of this world, according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:  (3) Among whom also we all had our conversation in times past in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind; and were by nature the children of wrath, even as others.

It takes the release of the power of God in sufficient measure from our hearts through our mouths to overcome this satanic power and so cause us to do righteousness. It is necessary to do this diligently: at least once every six hours (4 times a day; see 2 Sam. 6:13; Mk. 13:35) and at every opportunity as instructed in

Deuteronomy 6:6-7 KJV: And these words, which I command thee this day, shall be in thine heart:  (7) And thou shalt teach them diligently unto thy children, and shalt talk of them when thou sittest in thine house, and when thou walkest by the way, and when thou liest down, and when thou risest up.

Furthermore, it necessary to ‘watch’ or be spiritually discerning to sense when Satan is planning to bring a temptation your way and then to pray before it comes, to release the wisdom and power to overcome it.

Also, as we act on the Word (Jesus is the both Way (Jn. 14:6) and the Word (Jn.1:1)), we will be led by the Spirit to overcome temptation.

Now, just like eating physical food daily gives us physical power to perform physical deeds ‘eating’ the Word (Jn. 6:53-58; Lk.4:4) by daily reading and meditation gives us the spiritual power to be obedient to the Word of God.

So, as we watch and pray using the blood (confessing our sins (1 Jn. 1:7-9)), the Word (drawing on the life of God through the Word (Jn. 20:31; 2 Pet. 1:4)) and the power of the Holy Spirit (praying in tongues (1 Cor. 14:2) and travail (Gal. 4:19, Rom. 8:26)), at least once every 6 hours, at every opportunity and in every temptation, we will be using the wisdom of the just to have access to the power of God in sufficient measure to do righteousness!
